Philipp Müller

Freelancer, web developer and consultant

After my study at the international Fontys university in Venlo, Netherland (degree course: ‚software engineering‘) I have gained a lot of experience at the travel community trivago.de. In the following years I have worked for different large media service providers, in the range of web development.

During this time I have trained a team of developers with the handling of the in-house CMS in Dubai, UAE.

With my support as an external developer at the telegate MEDIA AG I have assisted the telecommunication platforms klickTel.de and 11880.com with their relaunch.

Since 2009 I am a freelancer in web development (frontend and backend).

In the role as a programmer with close customer contact I was responsible for numerous, succesful launches of web sites of well-known companies and internet platforms. As a consultant, my expertise is in demand for the feasibility of projects and the associated selection of the appropriate technology and software.

Chronology of realized projects

Further, for more than 1,5 years I have worked as an external consultant, predominantly as frontend developer in the business unit Products & Innovations at Deutsche Telekom AG. I was responsible for the revision of the customer self-care centre and afterwards for the new development of a customer self-care centre app on an independent platform in a SCRUM team. In addition, I was part of a later follow-up project regarding further development as well as know-how transfer relating to nearshorings.

In order to extend the multilingualism of the largest trading facility for internet domains, sedo.de, I supported the team of developers in Cologne for a soon launch of the Chinese and Portuguese-Brazilian market in year 2013. The daily project meetings of the agile team were coordinated from Boston, USA.

Since 2014 I support the world leader in graphic pen tablets Wacom by improving the official Wacom eStore (since 2016 a global Wacom eStore was relaunched). I also create email marketing campaigns (B2B, B2C) and promo landingpages such as the internet blog.

Another long-standing customer (since 2013) is Guidebooker, a platform for travellers to search for tour guides worldwide. In autumn 2021, a completely new design theme was launched. The focus was also on improving the performance for mobile devices. SilverStripe is used as CMS.

Based on my concept proposal, a complex WordPress plugin, the project of the Aubenhausen Club, an online fitness provider with member system (DressurFit) and video academy integration, was realised for HEIDEHOFstudios 2020. The project is supported by Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (she won two Olympic gold medals in dressage in Tokyo), among others.

I am an OXID eSales certified engineer (professional and enterprise edition) and use the shopsoftware and enterprise ecommerce solutions of OXID eSales for implementation of professional, customer-specific internet shops. The PHP shop system is based on leading Open Source technology and will be developed continously.

Due to my long-term experience with content management systems I am convinced that the Open Source CMS SilverStripe of the same-named New Zealand software house is an future-proof alternative for your internet page. The simple and clear handling for editors highlights this software.
